Stephanie Dychiu wins 2010 Population and Development (PopDev) Media Award

The report "Quiapo Church battles abortion in front yard" by GMANews.TV Special Correspondent Stephanie Dychiu was named Best Feature at the 6th Population and Development Media Awards on November 30, 2010.

The awards are given annually by the Philippine Legislators' Committee on Population and Development (PLCPD) with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), to recognize exemplary media coverage of issues that highlight the importance of the Millenium Development Goals (MDG).

A total of 569 entries for the 6th PopDev Media Awards were evaluated by a Screening Committee composed of the PLCPD, the UNFPA, and the following organizations from the development and journalism communities, as well as government agencies and private groups:
